The idea of Discipline Cults was created by Telgar as a way to restrict the use of certain unique disciplines in a World of Darkness setting where the clans with restricted signature disciplines were reassigned others to compensate for the loss of the other disciplines. As such, these rules are designed for use with an alternative list of in-clan disciplines, or no in-clan disciplines at all. A potential system for this is available here.
