What’s in a name?

I’ve taken the plunge and updated this blog’s name, URL and image, as there’s already an existing Crucible of Words blog, dedicated to Magic the Gathering. So we are now Method in the Mythos! This should hopefully convey a bit more about what this site is primarily about; exploring the implications of various methods of world creation and their assumptions in fantasy and science fiction.

Sorry if this screws up anyone’s permalinks, hopefully this site hasn’t been too long established to cause many problems.

I’ll have some new content up soon, comparing different spellcasting mechanics across roleplaying systems and Magic: the Gathering, looking at the way spellcasting is conceptualised in both, and how the two can combine.

About Aramithius

I'm always interested in the birth and expression of new ideas, from world creation to philosophical and metaphysical exploration. Fantasy and its related genres are the perfect vehicle for this sort of thing, and I enjoy exploring it in various ways.
